Climate
Sardinia enjoys a year round mild climate, with periods of high temperatures even during winter. Sardinia has a pleasant 6 month summer, hot and dry from May to October but often with a breeze due to its location in the centre of the Mediterranean. The island is surrounded by warm Mediterranean sea and its 1200 miles of coastline sees plenty of sun. Sardinia enjoys 7 hours of sunshine each day in April, rising to 11 hours in July. It is the perfect destination for a sailing holiday in the spring, summer and early autumn when visitors can enjoy the clear sea and explore the delightful coves.

Sardinia lies just 8 miles from Corsica, at a distance of 120 kms from Tuscany. Sardinia is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean, characterized by a jagged and rocky coastline, interspersed with marvelous beaches of very fine sand. It is surrounded by shallow seas, and its coastline measures 1800 Kms in total. Sardinia is unique and the perfect place for a yacht charter that mixes excitement with the exotic.
Sardinian coasts are generally high and rocky, and in many sections run more or less straight; the coast is however varied by more articulated sections, with promontories and wide and deep bays surrounded by islets. Where the coast is low and leads to plains, the sea seems at times to reach inland by means of marshes, wetlands or sandy dunes. The coast is more rugged and broken in large sections in the northwest and northeast. The Sardinian coast may be dedicated to tourism, but the interior still belongs to native Sardinians who still hold onto their customs, food and unique language
You'll find that the Sardinian ports compete rather well with the Mediterranean’s other chic hot spots. Summers tend to attract lovely warm days and crowds of millionaires and luxury yachts, especially to the prestigious Yacht Club at Porto Cervo.

Carloforte
Carloforte is the main and only city of the Island di San Pietro. Up on the hill you will find an old-city wall and the small historical museum of the island. The beauty and originality of these places, together with an incredible mild climate are rapidly creating an expansion of the tourist and sailing industry.
