Climate
The most prevalent characteristic of the climate in Greece is the ever present sunshine. There are more than 3000 sun hours per year. The heat in the summer can be strong, especially in the southern islands, with water temperatures reaching 25 to 28 °C.
Greece enjoys mild winters and very hot, dry summers cooled by seasonal breezes known as 'meltemia'.

Opposite the shores of Thessalia you will find the Northern Sporades, picturesque Aegean islands, to which many vacationers gather every year. It is known for its golden sands, its crystal clear waters and its quaint little villages with their own color and cultures that offer to a visitor unforgettable holidays. The lush vegetation and the impressive golden coasts, which are calculated to be approximately 60, are the main characteristics of the cosmopolitan and picturesque Skiathos. At Hora you will admire the various natural and historical sightseeing, while at Koukounaries you will enjoy numerous water sports.
The close distances between the islands are the perfect excuse for quick one-day excursions or weekend getaways. Since there is a frequent ferry timetable to and from mainland Greece as well as in between the island, it is easy to reach the islands. The ferry trip is extremely pleasurable especially if you are lucky enough to have the dolphins accompanying you all the way there. Northern Sporades are completed by Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and Skiros.

Skiros
Skiros offers a variety of enjoyable activities like exploring the ruins of ancient acropolis and an old Venetian fort, walking around in Linaria, the main port, or sitting at awaterfront café, swimming in Kalamitsa or spending the night in peace. For ceramics Skiros is the palce where you will find a great deal of pottery.
Skopelos
In contrast with the more cosmopolitan islands, Skopelos is quiet with a picturesque image, marvellous small tavernas and long sandy beaches. Skopelos is the home of the poets and shelter o the ones who look for calm vacations.
Alonissos
Alonissos a very traditional island with many small white houses and chapels not very crowdy and very pretty.
Planitis
Planitis is a sparsely inhabited cove in Kira panagia island for safe anchorage, isolated swim and great fishing spots.

Yacht charter from Skiathos
It is a lush, green island, with a sweet main port called Hora. Koukounaries is one of the most famous beaches, very clean and safe with many secluded caves waiting for you. Also for the night, there are some fine traditional restaurants bars and live entertainment.
The Marina is situated in the main port of Skiathos. The transfer from the marina to the airport takes about 5 minutes. Water on the quay is free of charge. Fuel is delivered on the quay by a mini tanker. Moreover there are many quality tavernas, restaurants, cafes and bars are located by the sea front, as well as in the center of the village.
