America's Cup
The 32nd America's Cup is the sporting event of the year. For the first time in its long history, the race for the oldest trophy in sport will be contested in Europe. Much More than a sailing regatta, the America's Cup is a spectacle that is not to be missed.
Alinghi, a team from Switzerland won the 31st America's Cup in Auckland, New Zealand in March 2003. As the winner of the last event, Alinghi is now the 'Defender' and has selected Valencia on the coast of Spain as the venue where it will defend its title in 2007.
Event 'Challengers' form nine different countries have taken up the fight for the right to race Alinghi in the 32nd America's Cup Match, the grand final of the 2007 Races. Valencia welcomes its visitors with open arms, and offers them a sight-seeing and cultural tour, including a visit to the modern "City of Art and Science".

And now Windward Islands offers you the opportunity to watch this event live. For both the America's Cup and Louis Vuitton's Cup, sailing boats, motoryachts, luxury yachts can be chartered from Valencia, Denia, Ibiza or Barcelona. Coorporate events can be also organized around the Cup.

Eleven teams battling it out for four places in the Semi Finals. By 6 May, seven teams are eliminated.

Louis Vuitton Cup - Semi Finals
May 14 - 24 - 2007.
The pressure intensifies as four teams fight and race another day.

Louis Vuitton Cup - Final
June 1 - 11 - 2007.
The Final phase of the challenger competition and just two teams remain. The winner takes home the Louis Vuitton Cup and will have earned the right to face Alinghi in the 32nd America's Cup Match.
