Climate in Corsica
Warm and dry summers, full of sunshine, mild winters, the corsican climate is a mediterranean one. The average temperature which is over 12 degrees, increases from South to North. The minimals' average rarely goes under zero during winter, whereas the maximal average temperature can reach 18° on the coast. In the height of summer, the coast knows extremes going from 23 to 36°, whereas at about an altitude of 1000 metres that varies from 8 to 26°.
Don't forget that the island goes from sea level to about 9 000 feet, with a land mass only about 100 by 50 miles. Micro climates give a wide variety of temperatures and precipitation, especially true between north-west and south-east, as the main mountain range divides the island roughly in half. As a general rule the north is hotter than the south.
The sun shines for an average of 280 days per year, concentrated from April to October, making the Mediterranean summer, the perfect time for a yacht charter in Corsica.

The marinas are adapted to accommodating yachts of all sizes and correspond to the level of French national equipment. The island counts 16 ports, that is to say more than 6 500 berths including 30% reserved for passage, which represent more than 60 000 stopovers a year. We could provide a skipper service for your first day's sail from our base to familiarize the crew with the boat.
To charter a yacht in Corsica only one crew member requires a good skipper resume.

Language
French is the official language. Italian is spoken quite everywhere.
Airports
The largest airport in Corsica is Aéroport de Ajaccio Campo Dell'Oro (AJA). The airport is about 15 minutes from the city center away. There are 10 to 15 permanent stationed taxis available. A shuttle (bus) will go every 50 minutes to the city center. Bastia (BIA), Calvi and Figari are two minor airports. Considering the islands overall size, 4 airports keeps it well connected to the European mainland for tourists.
