Croatia is a fascinating land and has many charms that make it one of Europe’s top destinations. Start south in Dubrovnik, sail along the Dalmatian Coast, stopping at Korcula and Hvar en route to Split. When you finish exploring the Kornati Islands, travel to the Istrian peninsula, to Rovinj.
Dubrovnik is one of the oldest European maritime cities and is truly spectacular; no wonder it is Croatia’s top spot. Relaxing on its pebbly beaches is really a taste of heaven.
With its countless islands and rugged limestone with historic port towns, pebble beaches with crystal clear waters that are both untouched and delightful, the Dalmatian Coast is a unique location. Plus some of the most beautiful parts of “Game of Thrones” were shot there! Summer is coming.
Korcula is known as the “mini-Dubrovnic” and is definitely a town made for relaxing, loved by yachters in search of thrills, quiet and sun. Apart from its coast, Croatia displays a very rich land: lakes, plains, arboraceous mountains in some parts of the Dinaric Alps. The rocky coast on the Adriatic Sea where Istria, Dalmatia and the Northern Seacoast lie is the location of all the yacht charters in Croatia. Ideal for yacht charter, Croatia boast a marvellous 5800km coastline of which 4000 km belong to islands, cliffs and reefs (Zlarin, Zirjz, Skradin, Vodice, Primosten, Drenik, Trogir, Split, Milna, Stari Grad, Hvar/ Palmezana, Rogac, Rogoznica).
The health service is of a good standard. You have to pay for seeing a doctor or being treated in a hospital. Certain countries such as European countries have reciprocal medical arrangements whereby, in principal, you should not have to pay for any emergency treatment. It is therefore useful to wave you passport first and mention this. No visa necessary for the inhabitants of the European Union.
Electricity: 220 V. Plugs have two round pins or three round pins for appliances that need to be earthed. If you need adapters or transformers (for USA equipment check things like notebooks or electric razors if they have a switch), inquire in bigger shops with electric supplies or in supermarkets.
Warning : licence is absolutly mendatory for bareboat charter in Croatia.
